It's officially been six months since I said goodbye to my professional career in the marketing/advertising industry and put on my photography hat, full time. For the last five years, my photography was only something I could dedicate a certain amount of time to, which always left me feeling like I wanted MORE, so at the beginning of 2015, I decided it was time. I will never forget the moment I left my office in downtown LA for one final time and realized that I was about to embark on a massive life change and wondered how it would all play out. I can proudly say it has been an intensely fulfilling and rewarding journey, one which has been worthwhile from every aspect. I still have moments when I feel like surely sit in awe and can't help but feel extreme gratitude for being able to pursue my dream of investing all my time into J. Lee Photos. It's been a season of overall joy, peppered with moments that have tested my courage and strength. I'm thankful for the growth and opportunity to take my passion and pursue it as a career.
I have worked with incredible couples, become part of a community of vendors who have so much talent they're bursting at the seams, and been reminded time and time again how meaningful wedding photography is on the wedding day. I have jumped for joy and fought back tears of sadness, been humbled in new ways and shown courage I didn't know I had. In essence, I've been shown what I am made of, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I am grateful for those I work with are with me on this journey; I'm excited we get to do it together!
