It was such a joy to see this lovely couple get married surrounded by incredible family and friends on the gorgeous Anderson Island! Not far from Seattle, Washington, Anderson Island is absolutely stunning and just a short ferry ride away from the small town of Steilacoom, which is where we headed first thing on the morning of the wedding. Since I'm from Idaho, there was a certain amount of home I felt by being there - there's nothing like the fresh air from the sea and evergreens all around.
The walk to the salon provided a charming little view of Steilacoom's small town. I definitely could have explored a bit more, but I enjoyed being able to document what I did.
The ladies enjoyed their moments before the wedding by relaxing, getting pampered and spending the morning together.
It wasn't long before it was time to put the finishing touches on the hair and makeup that was perfectly styled. Sharon's dress and jewelry were perfect for her and suited her personality so well - charming, classy and beautiful.
While Sharon was waiting for her groom to get ready, she decided to fill in the lull by reading a nice book while overlooking the bay and enjoying herself. I've never seen such a calm and confident bride! I just love this beautifully candid shot I was able to sneak of Sharon as she patiently waited.
Meanwhile, Will was busy getting himself put together in anticipation for seeing his beautiful bride. This guy played a huge part in getting everything ready for the day, but you never would have been able to tell by the way he cooly, calmly (yet quickly) got ready! He was looking sharp in no time flat and ready to head up to see his bride.
The moment these two had an opportunity to catch up and see one another was so special because you could tell they were more ready than ever to get hitched. Seeing these two so happy, so in love and ready to get married was thrilling!
This wedding party had more fun with their portraits! All I can say is: these two are so very blessed to have such caring and fun-loving people in their lives!
Beautiful wildflowers and shabby-chic decorations adorned the tables and were a perfect touch to their wedding.
Earlier in the day, the tide was low and showed off the crabs in the bay, and gave us a hint of how beautiful it was going to be later on when the tide rolled in. Will's parents requested special permission to fly the S&W brand flag, seeing as how it was perfectly suited to display the bride and groom's initials!
These three cuties graced the aisle mere moments before the Sharon's grand entrance and nearly stole the show with their cuteness. They did a wonderful job getting down the aisle!
Family and guests looked on with joy and excitement as Sharon + Will exchanged their tender vows with one another.
And they proudly sealed it with a kiss and were pronounced man and wife!
As previously mentioned, these folks are wonderful! They provided the bride and groom with incredibly heartfelt and hilarious toasts - even had some help from a 'toast maker'!
It wasn't long before everyone hit the dance floor to enjoy themselves.
Everyone even had the chance to enjoy a surprise performance later on in the evening by these three good-looking gentlemen!
And for a final surprise of the night, a seaplane came right on in to the dock, waiting to whisk away the newlyweds, which was a perfect end to an already perfect day. With that, we all said our goodbyes and wished the couple well as they set out for Seattle. Best wishes to you both, Sharon and Will - it was an honor and pleasure to be there and part of your special day. Congratulations!
